at the UMass Lowell Water Sports Center

Conveniently located directly on the Merrimack River in the Lowell Heritage State Park.

This section of the Merrimack River provides over ten miles of calm, sheltered water, suitable for beginners and novice paddlers alike.

Paddle right from our docks ! There's lots to see and explore. Take a leisurely paddle along the Vandenberg Esplanade, take in a festival or some live music on the water.

For the more adventurous ... paddle up river under Rourke Bridge and wind your way through Lowell, Chelmsford and Tyngsboro.

Rentals are charged per boat per half-hour, with a minimum charge of one hour.

Kayaks are rented on a 1st come, 1st serve basis. Kayaks can not be reserved

Rental rates include kayak, paddle and PFD.
